Akshay Kumar’s magnum opus Prithviraj postponed, YRF to announce new release date
The launch of Prithviraj, the historic drama in retaining with the lifetime of warrior Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan, starring Akshay Kumar in the titular role, has been postponed. The movie needed to hit the immense shows on January 21. The decision appears to be like to be taken in the wake of rising Covid-19 cases in the nation which have ended in the closure of cinema halls in about a states.
Film exchange analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to allotment the update. He wrote, “‘PRITHVIRAJ’ NOT ON 21 JAN… YRF NOT DECIDED ON NEW RELEASE DATE YET… #Prithviraj #AkshayKumar #YRF.” Yash Raj Motion images is but to deliver the new launch date of the movie.

Written and directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, Prithviraj celebrates “the valour of India’s bravest Samrat”. Prithviraj Chauhan ruled most modern-day Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi and some aspects of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
Actor Akshay Kumar, who performs the titular role in the movie, had called the historic drama, a tribute to the warrior’s heroism and lifestyles. “The more I uncover about him, the more I used to be awed by how he lived and breathed each 2nd of his stunning lifestyles for his nation and his values,” the actor acknowledged earlier.
Prithviraj marks the Bollywood debut of Omit World Manushi Chhillar. The movie also stars Sonu Sood, Sanjay Dutt, Ashutosh Rana, Sakshi Tanwar, Manav Vij, and Lalit Tiwari. Produced by Yash Raj Motion images, the magnum opus went on ground in November 2019. But its shooting was suspended in 2020 after the coronavirus induced lockdown, with the crew dismantling its two humongous items.
