America’s Got Talent Season 16 Episode 5 Recap
The fifth episode of ‘America’s Got Talent’ season 16 started off with a terrific performance by Positive Impact Movement, an aerial acrobatic group from Los Angeles inspiring positive change. After a hearty standing ovation from the judges, they advanced to the next round. Next up was an animal act called The Empower Pack, whose efforts to impress Simon did not come through. However, Alexandra Cote from Quebec, Canada, wowed the judges as her energetic dogs performed unique tricks that have never been seen before. Four Yes votes got her through to the following round.
As the night progressed, the judges witnessed both above and below-average performances in equal proportions. A few musical artists tried their luck on the stage, and one of them, called Gangstagrass, elicited another standing ovation from the judges. However, The Moon City Masters, a singing group from Brooklyn, failed to impress the panel except for Heidi, who admitted she is fond of twins. Later, a comedic duo called The Sklar Brothers, another pair of twins, received positive remarks from Heidi as well as the others.
The highlight of the episode turned out to be Lea Kyle, a quick-change artist from France who received the last Golden Buzzer of the auditions. Others who have made it through include a skipping artist and dancer, Thomas Evans, singer Tory Vagasy from Florida, psychic Peter Antoniou from London, anime-inspired dance group Dokteuk Crew from South Korea and singer Jayy from the Dominican Republic.
