Bill Skarsgard Explains Desire to Kill John Wick in Episode 4

John Wick 4 star Bill Skarsgard spoke about his character, the Marquis de Gramont, who will be the main villain of the fourth series. The actor describes the character as “a young man of unknown origin who quickly rose through the ranks at the High Table”.

Bill Skarsgård also added that the character is obsessed with getting rid of John Wick once and for all, as he represents the old underworld that he wants to get rid of.

“I’ve always seen him as a slum-dweller who now enjoys the sparkly suits he wears. He acts like the new sheriff, determined to rid the world of John Wick once and for all. John gets old and tired, the Marquis offers him a way out. Trying to be the one who eventually kills Baba Yaga would secure his status and power at the High Table,” the actor commented.

Earlier, the titular actor Keanu Reeves called the fourth series the most difficult in his acting career.

Due to the growing success of the franchise (including a spin-off starring Anna de Armas), a fourth installment in the John Wick series has been announced, just a few days after the release of the third installment. Stuntman-turned-director Chad Stahelski returns to direct, with Predators’ Michael Finch penning the script. The film’s release date was pushed back due to COVID-19, with a slated debut on March 24, 2023. The cast of action movie John Wick 4 includes a smorgasbord of returning and new actors from the franchise. Actors Ian McShane, Lance Reddick and Laurence Fishburne return to their roles and, of course, Keanu Reeves.
