The beautiful beach scenes in the movie were also filmed in Dartmouth. Moreover, the city provided a perfect backdrop to mirror Frederick, the actual location of the real-life Watts family murders. Sean Kleier steps into the shoes of the convicted murderer Chris Watts while Ashley Williams takes on the role of his wife, Shanann. Dahlia Oldham and Ellie McPhee wonderfully portray their children, Bella and CeeCee Watts. We also see the excellent Chloe Van Landschoot in the role of Chris’ lover, Nichol Kessinger, and Brooke Smith essays the brilliant FBI agent Tammy Lee.
