Speaking to Cosmopolitan, Aubrey Plaza revealed that she auditioned for the role of Domino in Deadpool 2.
The role eventually went to Zazie Beetz.
“I didn’t get many roles that I wanted. But everything happens for a reason. One that caught my attention was Deadpool 2. I was recording Legion at the time.”
“And I really wasn’t in a good test zone. I was in a work zone, not a test zone. That hurt. Me and Ryan Reynolds, what could go wrong? We would be great together.”
Aubrey Plaza will soon be featured in Marvel Studios’ Agatha series.
Deadpool 3 is scheduled for May 3, 2024 and will be the first film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with an indicative rating of R (+18).
Details of the plot are still kept secret, but there is speculation that Deadpool will cause problems in the schedules, and therefore will have to deal with the “surveillance” of AVT.
This is a new collaboration between Ryan Reynolds and director Shawn Levy, following Free Guy: Taking control and the Adam Project.
Emma Corrin (The Crown) and Matthew Macfayden (succession) are newcomers, while Morena Baccarin, Stefan Kapicic, Karan Soni, Brianna Hildebrand, Leslie Uggams, Shioli Kutsuna and Rob Delaney return to roles from previous films.
