Kenneth Branagh played the role of detective Hercule Poirot in three films based on Agatha Christie’s books. in 2023, a Haunting in Venice was the youngest, but it might not be the last.

Producer Teases Possible future Poirot Movies

Speaking to Variety about the recent film with the legendary detective, producer Judy Hofflund, who had worked on the first two Poirot films Murder on the Orient Express and Death on the Nile, was asked about Branagh’s possible return for more films.

According to Hofflund, there are no concrete plans yet, but “there have been some conversations” about this.

“Not yet. There have been some conversations about what they want to do next,” Hofflund said. “I know what I want next, but I can’t say what it is.”

Branagh’s last film as a detective, A Haunting in Venice, is again directed by Branagh (who directed the two previous films based on Agatha Christie) based on a screenplay by Michael Green based on Christie’s 1969 novel Halloween Party.
