In the sixth episode titled ‘Missing Mustard Seeds,’ Curtin walks in complaining about a barbecue establishment that inconvenienced him. Ella prepares for a Women’s Day event that chose her as the coordinator, and she is overjoyed to have bagged this opportunity. After listening to Curtis babble about his unpleasant experience in the restaurant, she motivates him to spill out his feedback constructively at a publisher.
But the review turns out to be abusive and harsh, which causes the business to pull out of the event that Ella is responsible for. She reveals that they had signed up for catering duties, and now they’re unwilling to return. So Curtis is bound to fill in as the new caterer accommodating 75 people with one day of preparation left. Floyd and C.J. lend a helping hand to a panicky Curtis while Malik storms in, expressing his newfound interest in philosophy. But he begins to lose his faith in God in the process which surprises both Ella and Lisa.
Hours before the event takes off, the catering group fails to assemble all the necessary items motivating Lisa to take charge of the situation. As it turns out, the restaurant calls back to resume their duties as the caterer because of Lisa’s last-minute decision to request them to come back. Malik gets inspired by Lisa’s unwavering faith in herself and her unborn baby, which ultimately inspires him to reclaim his belief in God.
