Peach Boy Riverside Episode 1: What to Expect?
‘Peach Boy Riverside’ is a fantasy action-adventure anime that has been developed from the manga series of the same name written by Cool-kyou Shinja and illustrated by Yohane. Cool-kyou Shinja originally created ‘Peach Boy Riverside’ as a web manga, which began publishing on the Weekly Young VIP website in January 2008. After Yohane came on board, the first issue of the remake was published in Kodansha’s Shounen Magazine R in August 2015. The story is a reimagining of the legends of the Japanese folktale hero Momotarou, who, according to most versions of the tale, was born from a peach and later slew a hoard of Oni (demons or ogres).

Peach Boy Riverside Episode 1 Release Date
‘Peach Boy Riverside’ episode 1, titled ‘Former Princess and Rabbit,’ is set to release on July 1, 2021, on Tokyo MX, BS NTV, and AT-X. Studio Asahi Production developed the series in collaboration with Kodansha. Shigeru Ueda helmed the directorial team while Keiichirou Oochi led the writing staff. Masato Katou and Satomi Kurita worked on the character designs, and Takaaki Nakahashi provided the music. Q-MHz (feat. Yuuko Suzuhana) performed the opening theme track, “Dark Spiral Journey,” whereas Miteino Hanashi sang the ending theme track, “Yoru wo Koeru Ashioto.”

Viewers outside Asia can watch the episodes with original Japanese audio and English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian subtitles on Crunchyroll on the day they air in Japan. Peach Boy Riverside Episode 1 Spoilers
The story revolves around the life-altering journey of Princess Saltorine Aldike or Sari of the Kingdom of Aldarake. She has led a largely sheltered life in her father’s castle until the day she meets Mikoto Kibitsu, a seemingly frail young individual. However, when a hoard of Oni attacks the kingdom, Mikoto slaughters them all, unintentionally terrifying Sari because of his sheer brutality. After he leaves, Sari realizes how little she knows about the outside world. After bidding farewell to her father, Sari sets out on a grand adventure and makes friends along the way.
The first friend that Sari makes is a demi-human named Frau. They meet each other on the road. When Sari realizes that Frau is hungry, she gives her a carrot, instantly earning her friendship. Together, they venture into a village and meet its leader, who offers them food and shelter for the night. When the village is attacked by an Oni the following morning, Sari tries to fight it, but her fear immobilizes her. This is when Frau steps in and defeats the Oni with just two kicks.
