The Owl House Season 2 Episode 3 Recap
In the third episode of ‘The Owl House’ season 2 titled ‘Echoes of the Past,’ Luz learns an invisibility spell while King entertains the idea of being the King of Demons. According to him, he was stripped off his power after someone cast a spell on him. All he remembers is falling as a result of its impact. However, Lilith is reluctant to believe him and to confirm that he is wrong, takes Luz, and Hooty to the island where Eda picked him up. But moments after they leave, Eda discovers a note which prompts her to chase after them. The gang land on an island where Lilith and Hooty slowly begin to trust his words. But when they are attacked by an unusual creature, Eda saves them and narrates the actual incident that shaped King eight years ago.
Eda was on a mission to escape Emperor’s Coven when she entered the island and found a battered King trying to evade this dangerous creature. King in the process breaks his horn and gets amnesia. Back in the present, they all decide to explore the tower where they are currently trapped in and find a room with broken eggshells. King fixes his horn. He had just come of out the shell when it broke right after someone yelled thr word “son.” In those revelatory moments, he realizes that the creature was actually trying to protect King. Moreover, he learns that he can control it according to his will. Luz then attaches King’s horn back to his head following which they bring the creature back home. She resolves to find out what must have happened to King’s father.
