‘The Savior’ selected for Dada Sahib Phalke Film Festival
Jalandhar The Savior: The Savior: Brigadier Pritam Singh, based on the life of Brigadier Pritam Singh, known in history as Poonch and the protector of Jammu and Kashmir, has been selected for the 12th Dada Sahib Phalke Film Festival 2022.
Giving this information, the writer and director of the film Dr. Paramjit Singh Kattu said that it is a matter of pride for our film to be selected for this film festival. Expressing happiness, Karanveer Singh Sibia, the producer of the film said that so far the film has won more than 20 international awards including Los Angeles Film Award. Executive producer Shivani Sokhi said that this film has become a unique award winning film in its category.
It may be recalled that Brigadier Pritam Singh was court-martialled on false grounds and the film was made for the purpose of restoring his dignity. In the same vein, a portrait of Brigadier Pritam Singh has been placed on 11 April 2022 at the Central Sikh Museum, Sri Harmandir Sahib (Amritsar). The film team is hopeful that the Government of India will also restore the due respect of Brigadier Pritam Singh.
