Tokyo is named Mega Tokyo now after the destruction. There are technological developments, machines called “Boomers” are created to be a help to mankind.
But, like everybody else on earth, boomers are also exploited. They are built with powers that can blast the earth and extinct the human race.
These bad forces are stopped by the superpowers. The Knight Sabers, a team of four girls with heroic powers are the only hope that could save people, the city, and the earth.
These girls take responsibility and come to the frontline to make changes and modifications that are good for people.
If you love the hero-villain war-type movies or series, then this series is a great pick for you.
It is also a must-watch if you want to see some girls in action.
14. Godannar
Whom do you title as the hero of any story? The one who saves the world and works for the good of fellows right?
Does a story necessarily need to have just one hero? Goh Saruwatari is busy celebrating his wedding anniversary with his wife Anna Aoi.
Goh and Anna remember their first meeting five years ago during the worst battle they have ever seen.
They feel bad for the loss but are thankful that they got each other. Goh was the pilot of the mecha called Dannar.
Things are never as peaceful as always. While their wedding treat is on, they are back, the Mimesis.
Mimesis are the ones against whom Goh and Anna battled five years ago. Now, they are ready for a new turn and new adventure when the Mimesis attacks the earth.
In the mission, Anna hits into a new mecha that could save this world. And it is called Neo-Okusaer.
What Dannar and Neo do together to the Mimesis is the most interesting and welcomed part of the whole series.
13. Cowboy Bebop
This anime bagged a lot of awards, inspired a lot of people, and fascinated the industry.
It is one of the hits and most liked series. It is famous among anime lovers around the world.
Spike Spiegel is the main character and the cute hero of our story. He is friendly, kind, and helpful to people.
He has an ever-smiling face and never fails to impress everybody around him. He is good and skillful in martial arts and has a great talent.
The outline of the series is that Spike along with his friends travels a lot to find a good living for themselves.
They get down in search of fugitives that are costly. With enough fights, actions, and dramas, this series is fast-moving and a perfect watch.

Appleseed is a story of happenings in the future. World war three has come to an end when Appleseed takes place.
Olympus, a country used by everyone, was created as a result of the world war.
This utopian country is a jail where people cannot escape. The technologies, cyborgs, genetically tuned humans and more are the best description of this place.
Humans are selected and modified in such a way that they become physically strong and emotionally weak.
The extreme hits after the suicide of the wife of a Police in the city called Calon.
Calon is now against the powers and is very much angry as he does not get any justice for his wife’s suicide.
The series takes off and how Calon with good and helpful people around rescues the city and brings it to a normal state is the rest of the story.
This series is a completely new approach to captivation, jailing, and more. If you love to watch heroes change the world then I am sure that you will love this series.

What if wars have a different pattern and different approaches? While everything around us evolves, even the pattern of wars evolves.
Causing less destruction to the human race, wars are fought and executed by machines called Objects.
Objects are being run and controlled by the females called the elites. These are most useful when there are petty border disputes and local wars between the four coalitions.
There is always a fight for peace, sovereignty, and lands. Going back to the main story which involves Qwenthur Barbotage and Havia Winchell.
They tackle the mistakes made by them during the war and solve every problem caused.
This is the major story outline. The series has a good art exhibit. It has nail-biting moments and fancy scenes.
This series is a must-watch if you love action and mecha with a good sense of humor.

Among the best on the mecha anime list, Akira holds an important place. This mecha has a different storyline and a great psychological aspect.
Akira is one among the students who are recruited by the government, involved in the critical study of parapsychology.
This government project that tries to discover the paranormal claims in humans results in the developments of psychic abilities in Akira.
By mistake, Akira tends to destroy the whole of Tokyo through an explosion. The government identifies the cause and puts Akira into safe isolation for years.
The powers could not be kept a secret forever, the selfish authorities find out these super abilities and try to exploit them.
How Neo – Tokyo is saved and what happens to the powers and how they can be used is clearly explained in the rest of the plot.
There are also other main characters who are neatly portrayed around the story. The story might seem to confuse the audience but in the end, everything seems to be clear and perfectly logical.
If you are someone who loves biology, then this movie is a treat and food for your knowledge.
9. Aldnoah.Zero
Imagining something that is unimaginable has always been the act of humans. Aldnoah.Zero is a result of one such fascinating imagination.
Humans find a way to reach Mars through the moon. This secret way is known as the Hypergate.
Hypergate is more like a bridge that helps humans to travel and build a space for living on the planet Mars.
People build a Kingdom around themselves and call it the Vers Empire. The Vers Empire takes over Mars and owns it.
Soon, they claim themselves to be different from humans and declare a war on the earth.
They decide to fight on the surface of the moon. As the war takes place, something that should have not happened happens.
The only way to communicate physically, Hypergate is destroyed. The aftermath of this war results in the beings from Mars getting stuck outside their home planet.
They discover new technologies and try to reach Mars and do what they can do.
Fifteen years after this happens, there is another attack on the earth. Aldnoah. Zero is a great anime that has equal shares for the mechas, actions, and feel-goods.
8. Knights of Sidonia
Humans predicted that there could be destructive attacks on earth. They built spaceships and sent humans in search of other planets where there can be life and people can live permanently.
Before hearing from the spaceships, the galaxy is being destroyed by the alien group called the Gaunas.
They take over the earth and believe that the human race has completely crashed. They continue to build their kingdom and grow more with technologies.
They never knew about the spaceships and the spaceships survived. One among those spaceships is Sidonia.
Sidonia is controlled by the team of Nagate Tanikaze. The story moves around Tanikaze trying to save the leftover humans from the alien forces that attack the spaceship after knowing its existence.
When the bombing and attacks happen, Tanikaze comes to know his capacity and his own worth.
He is revealed, what he could do to mankind and save it. This anime has an amazing vibe that brings in a kind of motivation while watching it.
It is an awesome experience to watch this anime series.
7. Gundam 00
Every viewer of this series always wanted another season for this story. Because, starting from art, sound, and story, Gundam 00 never failed to impress people and make them dumbstruck.
Running out of energy resources, people on earth start looking for alternatives from every natural thing possible, be it sun, moon, or even the soils.
While this new power, which is solar power, is enjoyed immeasurably by the three major powers, there is hunger, poverty, and other crises in the same world.
The countries that ate by selling the old, extinct resources now have no means of income thus they suffer from poverty and hunger.
This situation obviously ends in wars, fights, and disputes among the powerful and weak nations.
Finally, light falls on the truth, and justice is provided by a mysterious parliamentary group.
They come on earth and solve all the problems that are existing. This nerve-cracking series involves a bit of politics that is well written and properly directed.
This series is a must-watch if you love anime.
6. Robotics; Notes
It has always been a dream of the robotics club of the high school, the Central Tanegashima High School Robotics Research Club, to finish the construction of the giant mecha, GunPro 1.
Now it is her turn to contribute. Showing full interest in completing the construction, Akiho Senomiya dreams of it every minute of her life.
While she is this much excitement, the dream takes reverse gear as the funds are less to complete the construction.
Also, she has a club partner who has the least interest in this whole process.
His name is Kaito Yahisho. Kaito, just like Akiho, is passionate about something else. He keeps playing his video game that fights the mechas called the PokeCom.
While PokeCom is considered to be useless, it plays a major role in taking this story to another level.
The unexpected twists and turns happen and the series starts moving as fast as a roller coaster.
Even though the series claims to be a bit less than the actual novel, the series will not fail to keep you occupied.

5. Astro Boy
Anime lovers have a great memory of this series. This series was welcomed by everybody for its positivity and voicing out to the issues.
Astro Boy is a replacement for a dead boy. He is created by Dr. Tenma to bring himself out from the death of his son Tovio.
Astro Boy is a robotic human. After some days of creation, he is deactivated and set aside.
But, he is recreated and given great powers with the appearance of a small boy, by the Head, Ministry of Sciences.
Dr. O’Shay feels that Astro Boy will be a great help in surveilling the other machines and bots.
This is for safety purposes, they said. But in Astro’s life, he is discriminated against and he faces a lot of racism for he is a robot among the humans.
The rest of the story is the journey of Astro Boy finding his purpose and identity.
This series was loved by kids and was telecasted on the cartoon network channel. It is super welcomed as it preaches acts of kindness.
4. Code Geass
Code Geass is an accidental story of the superhero. The hero of our story is a common man until that day where that incident happens.
There are already battles going on in Japan, now called Area 11 and Britannia. While Japan is being the weaker participant, Britannia keeps gaining power.
One day, in a battle, a Britannian student, Lelouch Lamperouch, who studies in Japan is accidentally caught in the battle.
Thankfully he is in a place where he could escape and he escapes. The unknown girl, C.
C becomes the sole reason why Lelouch discovers his super abilities. He is excited and is ready for the battle when he comes to know that he can save Japan and stand up for the good and truth.
If you have already decided to watch this series, get ready for the elements of twists, turns, surprises, and more action because the superhero is coming, to save the world.
3. Evangelion
This takes place in the year 2015. The existence of humans becomes a question and they are completely dependent on the giant machines that are built by the NERVs.
There have been demons, machines, and even aliens attacking the earth. But here, the humans are attacked by the angels.
This attack becomes heavy and tough to be fought back. That is when the giant machines come to the rescue.
They are called majestically, the Evangelions. These Evangelions are more powerful when operated by the young fourteen-year-old boys.
One of them is our hero, Shinji Ikari. In a blink of an eye, Shinji Ikari is assigned to pilot the giant Evangelion, Unit 01.
He is put in a place where he has to act responsibly and help in saving people from the attack.
This series is so fast-moving and addictive. No anime could compete with Evangelion when it was telecasted.
It was said that even people who are not interested in anime will fall in love with this series.
Also, it is a high recco for the illustrators for observations, analysis, inspiration, and practice.
2. Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet
Are humans abnormal? How does an alien feel when he comes to earth? What does he take in first from what he sees?
Have you ever thought about all these? The planet mentioned in the title happens to be a Blue Planet where there is fresh and natural air available.
This is what the mecha pilot, Ledo, who accidentally lands on some planet and does not recognize the time zone he is in thinks about the planet.
The planet is named Gargantia. He is surprised by human existence, the technologies, and the natural resources available.
While Ledo has no reach to the people he knows, losing all communication with them, he starts adapting himself to the lifestyle of this new place.
The story takes new turns and twists, the peaceful life of Ledo is becoming unstable day by day.
The series halts with how Ledo tackles, struggles, and comes back to a normal state.
This show has a lot to promise. It keeps you entertained and engaged. It has bagged many awards and is on the list of popular anime with tough competition.
It is a perfect watch and a promise that it would not fail your expectations.
1. Ghost in the Shell (1995)
It is really odd but also surprising when people create things with a futuristic aspect.
Ghost in the Shell was one of the fascinating series. Happening in the year 2029, humans look upon tremendous growth in technology and cyborgs become one among the humans.
While they are co-living, section 9, a secretive section in the police department, comes across unimaginable crimes.
At the age where the human brain has the capability of being directly connected to the internet, technological crimes are never going to be less than expected.
Major Motoko, from section 9, comes to know about the weird Puppet Master and tries to keep track of him and bring him to the light for he is responsible for the unimaginable crimes that are related to the cyber cell.
Ghost in the shell sometimes has perfect answers to the insane human questions. This series is timeless and is loved by people from any decade and that is the reason why it stands first in the list among hundreds of mecha anime.
If you are planning to watch something with the other members of your family, then don’t think twice, this short and sweet movie is the right choice.
