Sex/Life Season 2 Release Date
‘Sex/Life’ season 1 premiered in its entirety on Netflix on June 25, 2021. It contains 8 episodes of approximately 50 minutes each. As far as season 2 is concerned, there have been no official announcements regarding it being greenlit. However, there is reason to be hopeful.
Billie’s story is just starting. By the end of season 1, she has essentially taken the first step into what is undoubtedly going to be a turbulent emotional journey. Multiple other plot points, like her husband Cooper’s potential infidelity, have only been primed so far and have more of a story to tell. Additionally, the show is based on ’44 Chapters About 4 Men’ by B. B. Easton. The semi-autobiographical novel follows 4 of the author’s most memorable relationships, while season 1 only covers 2 relationships. Therefore, there’s still a significant amount of unexplored source material that can possibly be used to craft potential future seasons.
In fact, showrunner Stacy Rukeyser has mentioned being especially eager to explore the character of Billie’s brainy best friend Sasha, even going so far as to consider a spin-off based on the unapologetic and sensual psychology professor. At this point, it looks like it is only a matter of time before a follow-up season is announced. If that happens soon, then we can expect to see ‘Sex/Life’ season 2 around mid 2022.
Sex/Life Season 2 Cast: Who can be in it?
Sarah Shahi leads the cast as the conflicted Billie Connelly, who doesn’t want to hurt her devoted husband Cooper (Mike Vogel) but also cannot shake off a compulsive need to be around her enigmatic ex-boyfriend Brad (Adam Demos). Her best friend Sasha (Margaret Odette) has seen Billie in her wilder days and advises her to repair her marriage, through which she also has a son named Hudson (Phoenix Reich) and a newborn baby.
The supporting characters on the show include Devon (Jonathan Sadowski), Franceska (Li Jun Li), Caroline (Meghan Heffern), Olga (Joyce Rivera), Cooper (Amanda Nestico), Ms. Brenda (Lauren Collins), Emily (Hannah Galway) and Romy’s husband (Graham Parkhurst). In the potential season 2, we can expect all of these characters to return as their lives remain inextricably linked. There might also be a few additions to the cast.

Cooper, who has always been confrontational, will also no doubt want to find a solution to their marital problems and might even suggest a divorce.
